Anyone braving the monster-infested wilds beyond the carefully patrolled reaches of civilisation needs a certain degree of cunning and aptitude for survival to persevere. Expert trappers are those who have taken it one step further and collected the tools and techniques to fully master the wilds and its hazards.

 Expert trapper are masters in their field, and few are able to afford their rates. The trappers that have chosen to hire out their services are usually in the employ of nobles, city councils, or affluent adventurers who are in over their head. Their tasks range from protecting frontier settlements from attack, to guiding caravans through uncharted territories. However, occasionally collectors or mages might send them to find a specific creatures, too dangerous or rare for easy acquisition.

 Expert trappers make extensive use of magical objects to enhance their abilities. Often these came into their possession because a wizard couldn’t pay in gold, but some trappers have learned to harness the wondrous properties of the monsters they catch in order to add to their arsenal.
