Roving octopari are eight-legged fungal creatures that average seven feet in height and originate from the Feygloam. Their long, spined tentacles support a relatively small and fleshy upper-body that contains their large brain. The undersides of their tentacles are dotted with microscopic eyes that allow them to see in all directions at once and at an incredible level of detail. Roving octopari possess an alien intelligence that makes them slightly smarter than the average humanoid, which is their preferred prey alongside larger mammals. These carnivorous creatures emit the constant, rotting stench of death, meaning that their prey can often smell them coming. That rarely matters, however, as by the time its scent can be detected in the air, the roving octopari's incredible speed and climbing ability allows it to quickly overtake any with the foresight to flee. 

Though they are intelligent, roving octopari are generally solitary creatures that rarely form societal groups. Despite this fact, roving octopari can speak to one another using a complex language composed of various tentacle movements both subtle and intricate. The creatures live for the thrill of the hunt, often toying with their prey for hours or even days before they slowly begin to consume them, using their tentacle excretions to tenderize the flesh before tearing into it with their sharp beaks.
