When threatened by a foe too fierce to be easily defeated or misled, sprites fly in close formation in an attempt to overwhelm their enemies through sheer force of numbers.

 When their home is under threat, even those usually not fit for single combat, either because of wounds or age, might join to bolster the swarm’s ranks.

 Though not usually gifted with the ability to cast spells, sprite swarms pool their individual motes of arcane to allow for brief bursts of spellcasting.
